Glossary
Account owner — The user who created a site. Owners have every permission on their sites and can set their members' passwords.
Agent — see Mole agent.
Batch — One bulk command sent to several miners at once. Each batch has an id, a per-miner result list, and optionally a stagger delay between miners.
Chip state — Health of a hashboard expressed as working chips vs expected chips: All chips, Chips lost, No chips, Board off, Board missing, Not reported. See Miner status & chip state.
Curtailment — Deliberately reducing power draw (sleep / low power mode on a set of miners) for a period, with automatic restore. Managed in Power & Curtailment.
Expected chips / expected hashrate — The model specification the agent reads from the firmware (for example 110 chips per board on an S19k Pro), used as the reference for degradation.
Fleet Manager — The Overview panel: the whole site's status, production, power and reboots at a glance.
Global scope — The set of miners currently selected across panels (racks selected on the Site Map, rows ticked in Machines). Shown as a chip in the header; commands and filters apply to it.
Happy Mining firmware — The custom Antminer firmware distributed through the Firmware panel ("The Hole" library). Packages are per platform (aml / xil / cv control boards) and per model.
Hashboard — One of the (usually three) boards carrying the ASIC chips. Reported with hashrate, chips, PCB temperature and chip temperature.
In-flight command — A queued or running command for a miner; it turns the status badge into Resuming… / Stopping… / Rebooting… / Updating….
Issue — A problem detected by rules on the current telemetry (hashrate below threshold, overheating, missing board, fan failure, pool unreachable…). Issues feed alerts.
Log patrol — A background pass that fetches miner logs through the agent and classifies them (low voltage, power loss, fan, hashboard, chips, network). Its runs appear as fetch_logs in Activity; critical families trigger e-mails.
Mole agent (pickaxe) — The small program installed on a machine inside the farm network. It scans the IP ranges, reads telemetry from every miner, uploads it to Mole Hash, executes queued commands and installs firmware. Older code and docs call it pickaxe.
PCB temperature — The temperature sensor on the hashboard itself, as opposed to the chip temperature measured on the ASICs.
Power mode — The miner's firmware power profile (normal / low / high / sleep). Shown in the Power Mode column and used for the per-mode power draw estimate.
Rack — A physical position holder on the Site Map; miners are mapped to a rack and a slot. Racks can be grouped by transformer / electrical phase.
Site — One farm (or one logical group of miners). Members, agents, racks, settings and statistics are per site.
Stagger — The delay between two miners when executing a batch command, to avoid starting a whole rack at once. Defaults to 1 second when more than 10 miners are selected; maximum 1 hour.
State (lifecycle) — Deployed / In repair / Spare / Decommissioned — set by people, independent from the live status.
Status — The live operational reading of a miner: Mining, Online, Starting, Stopped, Offline, Error, Unknown (plus the in-flight variants).
Trigger — A rule in Alerts & Triggers that turns an issue into a notification on a channel (e-mail, Telegram, Discord, Slack, webhook).
Worker — The identifier a miner uses at the pool (account.worker). The Workers panel groups hashrate by worker.
